Running, eating right, crunches? I will tell you, one way to get off that extra little bit of fat is "White meat chicken". Eat it with everything or by itself. It is good three meals a day if you want it, but it is basicly fat free and I used to be bigger, and I lost about 30 pounds in six months, and now I love it and actually have to eat bad stuff just to keep from being skin and bones sometimes… Hope this helps…

I really need to get into shape. If anyone can help me with anything… diet advice, workout tips, how to work my lower abs, my upper legs, ANYTHING really. I have 24 days until we go to the lake and I need to be in a lot better shape. I need to tone my muscles, lose weight, and better my body body… seriously… ANY help would be great! Thank you in advance!
OH… and I would really like things I could do around the house… not have to go to the gym for… even though I do have a gym membership. :-/

keep your diet clean. stay away from junk foods, sweets, soda/pop and other sugary, starchy foods.

do some push ups, squats, lunges, and sit ups before your cardio activity every other day.

i need to get in shape because…well, summer’s around the corner :P

anybody have any fun, non surgical ways to rid cellulite, flatten tummy, and strengthen abs?

i work out a lil every day…i dance, so i suppose thats kinda cardio. but i wanted to run too. what does running do in my situation?

when you work out do you sweat? I served in the Marine Corps. We were required to run 3 miles. Later, i found out just a ten minute run would do the trick for staying in shape. when the same work out, after a while, renders you sweat free, go harder, longer, and switch it up. Sweat is the best medicine for weight loss. How can i flatten/firm up my abs asap?

I’m female, 5′8" and 130 lbs. My waist is 27" and hips 36". I don’t have a big belly, it’s not noticeable if I’m standing up, however, as soon as i bend, or sit, or lay it rolls over quite a bit. When I do push ups, it totally hangs! And when I do crunches or any effort with the area, my stomach potrudes too much! Most of the problem is in the area below the belly button. I’ve got a little bit of love handles too. I would like to get rid of those as well.
What can i do to get rid of the flab or make my stomach stay in place, or defy gravity if you will? And maybe define my waistline a little more? What exercises are recommended for this?

You must have a good diet which I recommend the Abs Diet.

Get the metabolism going higher. Just like any other muscle, you must add weight resistance even though it’s your stomach. Try medicine balls and what not.

Eat healthy, and do cardio such as running. You need to get your total body fat %tage under 10%.

Does the "hip hop abs" workout really work?

I saw an infomercial today on this product, and I was wondering if it’s just a gimmick, or if it really delivers those results. I want a workout similar to that, and the results look great, but i don’t want to waste my money. Has anyone used this workout or know someone who has? Does it work?

Look at the model promoting the product – PHYNE as hell. They don’t show big mamma or big daddy dancing to those videos. Oh yeah a few before and after, but still even some of those befores don’t look too bad. And with computer morphing, what’s to say what’s true or not.

I’m working at my desk (read chairbound) most every day. To rid my mids of the unwanted flab I do straight and diagonal crunches (to death) regularly and avoiding fatty stuff as much as I can but always get nowhere.

Any suggestions? You’ll get two points for answering -!~

I have frequent back pain and I heard that regular abs workout could help with that. I ride my bike 1-2 hours every 2-3 days and I swim about 1-4 hours each week, none of which seem to stimulate my abs or lessen my back problems.

The "Women’s Lib" position works wonders. You work out the abs of both people at the same time.

How can I flatten and tone my abs and still have the flexibility to do belly rolls like a belly dancers?

I know it sounds like a stupid question, but how is it that some belly dancers have flat stomachs and look tone and still can move like snakes. I know that one of the benefits of belly dancing is toning but I dont want my stomach to be tight I just want it flat and flexible

It’s true that if you have six-pack abs, you’ll find it harder to do belly rolls. Strength and flexibility are at opposite ends of the spectrum – just like most rugby players can’t kick their leg very high, because they’ve built up short bulky muscles instead of long streamlined ones.

However, it’s perfectly possible to have a flattish stomach and still do belly rolls, provided you practise stomach crunching exercises AND belly roll exercises together. If you have very little fat on your stomach, belly rolls will be harder to see, that’s all.

How can I prevent myself from using my upper abs and lower back in a lower ab workout?

Every once and awhile, like in the beginning of my ab workout, I will feel my lower abs working when I get to a lower ab exercise, but then, as I progress into my workout, my upper abs and lower back start kicking in, like their trying to do the work instead. How can I prevent this, or fix this problem!?!?!?!?! Thanks for your help!=)

I need some good lower ab exercises.. Maybe pause for a minute or two and then start your workout over.

I’m going to the gym and going to work with my trainer to develop some routine ab exercises, but what can I eat to flatten my stomach and make sure it doesn’t get any bigger??

If you don’t have strong abdominal muscles, you can work on that by doing a lot of situps and leg lifts.

But at the end of the day, you have to reduce your body fat percentage. you will not be able to see your muscles, however big they may be, if they are covered by a layer of fat. Like they say, abs are made in the kitchen.

ok first of all, any abs workout you can find is good , Im a guy ok and i know i have a six pack but i gained some weight and the fat covers my six pack so i cant see it anymore, this means that to see a six pack u have to make cardio excercises like bicycle, jogging, dancing, to get rid of the fat. I know a guy that doesnt do any muscle training he only bikes all the time. but we can see very clearly every single muscle of his body because his fat percentage is low. SO you CAN use HIP HOP abs but u gotta go run outside 3 times a week for about 30min. each time. U gotta stop eating junk, eat more proteins, fiber and drink alot of water

My friend said that it worked from what she heard. I don’t know, but it sounds pretty bogus to me. Is it true? And if so, why?

That’s ridiculous. You can’t really do that. You’re a human being, not a slab of cookie dough. I mean, think about it. If all you had to do was use a rolling pin on your abs, don’t you think we’d all have rock-hard stomachs? Nothing is that easy.

I’m considering trying the Hip Hop Abs workout, but I don’t want to waste my money and time on it if it’s all hype and no actual results. Have any of you tried it, and if you have what do you think of it? Any suggestions of what else I could try that does work and is fun?

Anything will make you fit if you eat right and exercise. Hours and hours and hours of dancing gives you a lot of "core" body workout, but it’s nothing you can’t do in your bedroom, or a nightclub… provided you don’t drink while you’re there :)

I no it is not good to lose really fast but, when i lose it I will keep it up. I’m a little on the big side and would like to lose 20-50lbs. within 4-5 months. I belive if the biggest losers can do it so can i. i’m not have as big as them. please! please! please! i need help like yesterday.

I am 5 foot 1, 108 pounds and 13 years old. I have a small small small layer of fat covering my abs. Would this workout help reveal them if I did it ten times a day and kept a steady diet. Or does this workout only strengthen abs and not burn fat? How long do you think it would take to see results if I do this workout ten times a day? Do I need to do cardio with it?

it is good.. but not really.. i would say u still need cardio.

I need a workout that I can do without any special equiptment right in my own room on a matt or something. oh, and i have luv handles too, so can you give me something to get rid of those. Can you also tell me how long it will take to see results. Thanks!

Try doing squats (use an exercise band too) and lunges for the butt while keeping your abs engaged… and then the regular sit-ups for your abs.

Variety of exercise is the key I have found. For example..an exercise called Mountain Climbers which can get tough!

Mountain climbers are done by starting in a pushup position
and then shuffling your feet in and out so that your knees are
moving in under your chest and then back out to starting
position. It sort of resembles climbing a mountain but flat on
the floor. If you want an advanced version, you can also
shuffle your hands 8-10 inches forward and backward in
addition to the leg movements. This really makes it a full
body exercise and MUCH more difficult than standard mountain climbers.

After finishing each exercise, rest about 30 seconds before
starting the next exercise. Rest about 1-2 minutes after
completing each "tri-set" before repeating.

This will give you one of the best ab workouts you’ve ever had
without even doing any direct ab exercises. You’ll see what I
mean after you try it!

Once you get away from the myth that a 1000 crunches and 500 situps a day is all you need to do for great abs, then amazing results can be seen.
