are there any free sites that will show me some great exercises for getting rid of belly fat?

Tuesday, July 20th, 2010

I think I have to clarify something for you. You cannot spot reduce weight, meaning that you can’t only lose weight from one area of your body by doing a certain exercise. So for example running won’t only help your legs and crunches won’t only make you lose weight from your belly. When you do cardio exercise, which is any exercise that gets your heart rate up and makes you sweat, your body starts burning off calories taking them from the stored carbs and fat in your body. So when you are doing cardio exercising, no matter what kind of exercise you are doing you are losing weight from the most prevalent source on your body. So if you have a big butt/thighs you’re probably taking most of your weight off from that area. The only way to flatten your stomach is to do cardio exercise and get a healthy low calorie diet. Try to stay at 1800 calories or below everyday, but don’t go too low stay above 1600 calories in a day. So to recap: 1. You can only flatten your tummy by doing cardio and you’ll end up losing weight from your whole body. 2. There are NO exercises you can do to ONLY flatten your stomach. 3. Stay between 1600 and 1800 calories in a day 4. Do about 45-60 min of cardio 4 days per week(running, stationary bike, stair master, even swimming can be cardio) 5. Out of the 1600-1800 calories in a day that you are getting at least 250-300 should be from fruits and veggies. Any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to email me. This is what I specialize in.

What is the best workout for abs and thighs?

Monday, April 19th, 2010

I am not overweight, but would like to be more flat/muscular. What are some good excersized for lower abs and higher, and for thighs that don’t need equipment. Also how long approximately well it take to have a flat stomach and smaller thighs? How often should I do these excersized? Thankz

The easiest way to flatten your stomach, without a machine, would be sit ups. They’re simple, straight forward, and work. And that seems to be what you’re looking for.
Just set a goal amount, like 20, 50, or 100 a day. You can do it while watching TV.

For thigh exercises, I’d go with lunges, squats, or anything where you’re pushing your self with your legs. Just stretch until you feel the burn, release, breath, and repeat.

It’s not a fast process. It takes a lot of time, but it does work. If you want quicker results, do it more often per day. Just don’t burn out.

Thursday, April 15th, 2010

I have no trouble working out my top four abs, but what is good to workout the lower two. I used to have that V and some definition but I gained a few lbs and want to get them back.

Hang from a chin up bar and bring your knees up to your chest. Raise them up in a slow controlled manner and slowly lower them back down. Do 4 sets of 20 reps.

Can anyone recommend the best workout for abs?

Thursday, April 15th, 2010

I am sick of doing crunches. Any other ideas?

go to a stretch and stregth dance class. you have to be very strong for dance and they work you very hard. if not that class just start dance classes and although you may not be lifting weights you get very fit. i mean look at all those skinny dancers out there! dancing must do something for you!

Killer Ab Workout

Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

This is an advanced ab workout, if you are a beginning bodybuilder please see my website for some more appropriate ab workouts. Just a reminder, ab workouts do NOT remove fat. If you have a beer belly or love handles, you need to do cardio and have better nutrition – doing ab exercises will NOT help. Why do abs? Well, not only because a 6-pack looks really cool but strong abs are key for virtually every sport except tiddley winks. Ab strength is critical for hitting a baseball, whacking a golf ball, and especially in sports involving punching where most of the power in the punch comes from your core. Even if you dont do any sports, a strong core can protect your spine from injury. Now, people get really confused about ab workouts – do you do them once a week or every day? Do you do high reps or low reps? First lets clear the air, there is no “right” or “wrong” ab workout, it depends on your goals. The abs are like any other muscle, if you want them to get bigger and stronger, you work them out hard with heavy weight and give them plenty of rest between workouts to recover. If you want a small, flat waist like a marathon runner then you do a few minutes of abs everyday with no weight and high reps. If you want a really muscular core like a pro bodybuilder with big ab ridges and deep valleys, then workout with high weight and low rep and allow 5-7 days between workouts (morph zoom). Alles Klar? OK, so this particular ab workout is for people who want those big abs with deep valleys. Lets get started. This is going to be a killer 30min workout and were going to do this every 5 to 7 days. We are going to do a five supersets with about 3 minutes between. Each superset is going to consist of the following six exercises. •crunch at max weight (dead) •crunch with 50% weight (dead) •bicycles with 50% weight (dead) •crunch with 0 (dead) •bickcles with 0 (dead) •side plank 2x At the end of the superset, you are going to be DEAD. Now to prove I can take my own medicine, lets do a superset. rest 3min, repeat. Many people make the mistake of taking it at first to save energy for the sets at teh end, thats a mistake. You have to give each of the exercises 100% effort as if it were the only exercise you were going to do.

what exercises would work to flatten belly and grow sexy abs for girls?

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

i am a teen.i weight 124.if you look at my body straight,it looks okay but when you look side ways,it looks fat(not that fat).i would like to weight 115.HELP!!!!!!!!!

You can work on your abs with any ab exercise, try the ball, it works them the most and can be done at home. But you can’t get rid of body fat on the abdomen with strengthening exercises. They will look great once you lose the weight. You need to do heavy cardio as much as possible and eat small meals, like six a day, with lots of protein and fruits and veggies. Eat more nutrient rich foods with less calories. Calcium is a big factor, like low fat yogurt and cottage cheese, calcium helps the muscles so much…and I’m not talking just skeletal muscle (on your bones). Your smooth muscle in the vessels benefit from calcium meaning they can pump your blood faster during cardio, giving you the ability to do heavier work outs. Focus on health and fitness, not weight loss and you’ll see more results. If you just stop eating you lose muscle….try and cut 500 calories a day with increasing your activity. That habit has better long term results. And you shouldn’t weigh less, you will weigh the same but have less body fat.

Do Pilates help flatten your abs?

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

I joined a gym about 6 weeks ago and the weights are starting to tone my muscles but I really want my stomach to be flat again. They have pilate classes there twice a week and I’m thinking of going to them. Does anyone know if they do help flatten your abs?

Pilates strengthens your core muscles, not the outermost muscles such as abdominals. Pilates does tone your muscles, and works around the center(core) but it won’t give you flat abs.

Is running important for a good abs workout?

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

Unfortunately, running is only important to help you towards knee surgery. You can work your abs by specific exercises or more generally by swimming.

am i going the right way to flatten my abs?

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

I’ve been using a ab frame to do a couple o hundread situps last few days and today i went for a cycle for a hour. I have a healthy dieat and have been cutting back on carbs. will this help me tone up my stomach?? Also how long should i be exercising for and how many times a week??

One of the first things to point out about shaping up your abs is that as long as you have fat over them, they will never look how you want.

You could do 1000 sit ups a day for 5 years, but if you are overweight or have more then a little fat on your body, they won’t come.

First things first, keep up the diet and cardio. If you keep these up it will be a huge step toward your flat abs.

The next thing is trying to do more then just the ab frame. Switch it up and add more. There are millions of ab exercises that are simple, work you out amazingly, and require no equipment to do. One program that I have seen work hundreds of times is the original 8 minutes abs. You can find it on lime wire or any file download service. It is short, but to the point and works out all areas of your abs. Throw that into your routine along with your diet and cardio and you will be surprised how far you come.

What is the best abs workout equipment?

Friday, January 15th, 2010

I’ve seen infomercials of like "the bean" and "the ab chair" but what is the best equipment to give me a flat stomach quicker? Or what video would be good to use? (I don’t plan on spending more than 80dollars.)

OMG! Ablounge ( my friend uses it and wow )

Will regular brisk walking help me flatten my abs?

Friday, January 15th, 2010

This is along with a low calorie healthy diet and ab exercises.

Yes, because brisk walking is a cardio exercise, meaning it revs up your metabolic rate so you burn off excess body fat from your body (and that includes fat stored in your abs), to lose weight.

Once the layer of fat covering your abs is sliced off, your abs will show nicely. In fact cardio exercise of any form is a must if you wanna flatten your abs.

But then a routine of abs strengthening and toning exercise will even be better as it tones and sculpts and chisels your abs to sexier shape….

I recommend you try out these proven abs exercises that really give you results: http://www.perfect-body-toning.com/stomach-exercises.html

Do the exercises 3-4 times per week for about 10 mins per session after your brisk walking.

And eating a healthy, weight-loss nutritious diet is gonna speed up your abs flattening effort as well.

When can I start seeing the results of the workout? (abs, etc) lol?

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

Lets say I started in March (this month) when can I start seeing the results? Abs, muscle in the arms, etc lol

By the way, do I have to workout more than I can do to get results? push my self to do more?

Is it important to push my self when I’m almost DYING or just rest for 1 minute and continue to work out? Maybe its important to continue when I can’t do any longer antyhing, because thats when the muscles start really getting the strong and force and such, but what I had done, is just stop and rest for one minute, is that wrong? it most be!

Help!
thanks for ur help, I really appreciate it lol
I have a diet, and such. Please lets keep in topic here lol I just want to know when can I start seeing the results! pleasie, is a simple question. Not what I have to eat or such (because I already did my re-search and asked about that) lol
Thanks for ur help guys xD
Yep, I get it, thanks lol

If you need a break, you should only rest for 20 seconds because whatever muscle group you are working will go back to rest mode if you rest for a minute. Let us say you are doing crunches, and you need a break but you are going to do more crunches, you don’t want to relax to the point that your abs become relax again. When you do crunches your muscles are put in a position where it is burning and working, sort of like it’s stance if you know what I mean. This builds up and that why you become fatigue and it burns even more the longer you do your reps. But if you relax for more than 30 seconds, it loses it’s stance and becomes relaxed again. That like starting all over. If you relax for no more than 20-30 seconds, your muscles will be ready to continue that routine because they aren’t relaxed. Do you get it?

Which is the best way to workout your stomach/abs without a machine/workout equipment?

Wednesday, January 6th, 2010

I usually just do situps on the floor with my legs crossed in the air with hands on the back of my neck, and I try to run as well. Is situps better than running, and/or is it the best possible workout for the abs?

Crunches are the best possible workout for the abs. They are preferable to sit-ups because when you do sit ups, you use your back more. Ideally, you want to lay on your back with your knees bent or your legs straight. Lift your head and shoulders up above the ground. Don’t support your head with your hands. Just hold your hands lightly near the sides of your head. Then you lift up your head and shoulders further, but not all the way up. Don’t return your head and shoulders to the ground. Keep them above the ground between crunches. I find that it helps to keep a rolled up towel under my neck. I know that if I can feel the towel, my head has gone too low.

Are there any abs exercises to flatten tummy beside doing sit-ups and crunches? Like maybe walking/running?

Wednesday, January 6th, 2010

I hate doing sit-ups and crunches . . is there any other way I can flatten my tummy without doing that?

Yes. Doing cardio period will flatten your stomach. If you want to build muscles though in your abs, then you have to do ab work.

I need an overall weight lifting / running / abs workout to help me get a better body. Any suggestions?

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

I am mainly concerned with asthetics…I know it sounds shallow, but it’s true. I’m already in pretty good athletic shape, but I don’t look like it. I want to be able to cut the sleeves of my basketball shirts down all the way to the waist! LOL

If you’re not overweight, you need to concentrate on a weight training program. Although it is good to do cardio at least 3 times a week. Rotate between working separate muscle groups like upper body/arms, core and back, lower body/legs. Lift weights and/or do calisthenics (i.e. push ups, lunges, squats, crunches, etc.) If you are not used to doing weight training, start off light. Make sure you give your muscles at least a day of rest after working them. So if you do upper body today, rest it tomorrow. Hope this helps.

Does doing sit-ups daily actually help flatten out your abs?

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

Basically, do sit-ups really help?
I hear a lot about how sit-ups don’t actually help much.

Well most people think that if they do a thousand sit ups or crunches they’ll get a flat stomach.
Sorry – not true.
You cannot choose where you put on weight so I don’t know why people think they can lose it from where they want either.
The best way to lose weight or firm or tone anything is cardio cardio cardio. For stomach the best machine is the stationary bike, but don’t forget the treadmill or stepper or cross trainer.
So if you do 4-5 days of 45mins cardio a week, you will lose weight or tone your stomach. You have to eat reasonably healthy but if you do this exercise you will lose weight.
When you do cardio your heart rate rises and your body will respond to crunches or situps better – so you can do 100 sit ups or crunches after a run on the treadmill and 15 mins on the stepper and get the same result from doing 1000 morning and night every day for 3 months. But with cardio combined with crunches you’ll see result in 3-4 weeks.

Also pilates or even that swiss ball is great for your stomach coz you have to concentrate and build your core muscles, which is your stomach, but that takes longer =]
Hope this helps!

What is a good workout routine to for a 14 year-old build more toned and muscular abs without any equipment?

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

I am pretty strong and toned in my abs,
But i want them to be harder and more toned…
Right now you can only see the line going down the center of my abs…
I want a workout routine that works me hard and goes every otherday so i can keep doing my arms routine.
Thank you.

Everybody out there is curious and wants to know “how do I get a cut ripped 6 pack” ? Well the truth actually is, that everyone already has a good looking stomach, its just covered by that evil thing we know AS FAT. The six pack comes from the Linea Alba and the three dendinous inscriptions crossing the rectrus abdominus. Basically all that was, is big meaning less words if you ask me. So now your wondering ,how do I get rid of the fat to uncover those great 6 pack of abs I have hiding under that layer of fat?

The #1 MOST important thing is your DIET !!!! You simply must follow a good nutrional diet that fits your excersise level and your daily activity. You could simply do thousands and thousands of crunches everyday and not see a bit of difference if you are not eating the right amount of foods to supply your body with what it needs to get rid of the fat. What you considerably need to be eating is nutritious foods such as, meat like chicken, beef, steak and of course tuna. Not only this but veggies and fruits as well in addition to the meat. Anything that does not encourage more body fat is good. You need to create a deficit of about 500 calories per day and you will lose 1 pound per week. Now depending on your excersise level that could significantly increase. Eat less and excersise more is the goal you will want to set.
