I think I have to clarify something for you. You cannot spot reduce weight, meaning that you can’t only lose weight from one area of your body by doing a certain exercise. So for example running won’t only help your legs and crunches won’t only make you lose weight from your belly. When you do cardio exercise, which is any exercise that gets your heart rate up and makes you sweat, your body starts burning off calories taking them from the stored carbs and fat in your body. So when you are doing cardio exercising, no matter what kind of exercise you are doing you are losing weight from the most prevalent source on your body. So if you have a big butt/thighs you’re probably taking most of your weight off from that area. The only way to flatten your stomach is to do cardio exercise and get a healthy low calorie diet. Try to stay at 1800 calories or below everyday, but don’t go too low stay above 1600 calories in a day. So to recap: 1. You can only flatten your tummy by doing cardio and you’ll end up losing weight from your whole body. 2. There are NO exercises you can do to ONLY flatten your stomach. 3. Stay between 1600 and 1800 calories in a day 4. Do about 45-60 min of cardio 4 days per week(running, stationary bike, stair master, even swimming can be cardio) 5. Out of the 1600-1800 calories in a day that you are getting at least 250-300 should be from fruits and veggies. Any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to email me. This is what I specialize in.

do these all work ?
8 glasses of water – Makes your skin better, gets rid of spots, helps you lose weight
Skipping rope – burns alot of calories, increase your lung capacity, It works your whole body, Is great for balance and agility
Jogging – Helps tone your whole body and helps you lose weight quick
Pushups – Improve your strength and tones your arms and abs and your pecs
Sit ups – tones your abs and back
Squats – tones your leg, back, bum
are all of them true ?
Can you think of any more tips ?
Thanks
Yea, they are true and here are few more tips;
WHEN to eat for losing weight…
• Eat (at least) three times a day.
Because when you eat only once a day, your metabolism gets slower than it already is! That’s the main reason. Sounds funny, but to lose weight… you must eat (the right things, of course)
• Eat low-fat, high-fiber foods such as salads and vegetable pastas.
• Your last meal should be before 18:00. Try.
OK, one apple after 18:00
• Don’t starve
Starvation is not good for losing weight, nor your health.
Starvation is the worse thing you can do in a weight loss diet.
• Try oatmeal instead of cornflakes for breakfast–eating oatmeal can help reduce cholesterol levels, and its high fiber content will keep you full longer.
WHAT to drink for losing weight…
• Drink 6-8 glasses of water every day !
Can be tap, plain, mineral, sparkling. I just love mineral sparkling water!
This improves your bowel, reduces the "hunger" sensation, and hydrates your skin. Your skin will look much better after the first weeks!
Don’t believe the slogan "water makes me fat". Besides being stupid… you might get into serious troubles with your kidneys.
• Drink ONLY natural juices, freshly squeezed!
Don’t drink Coca Cola, Pepsi, and Sprite etc. during the diet. Even lite or light versions.
• Avoid those vending machines by carrying around your own healthful foods and leaving pocket change at home.
Exercise for losing weight…
• If you want quicker results – exercise would be good.
• Don’t just sit in front of the TV and eat peanuts…
I guarantee THIS won’t work for your weight loss…
• Start a regular exercise program and stick with it. Don’t be afraid of those sweat suits and Lycra pants!
• Start swimming. Swimming is an excellent exercise to get involved with, since it increases blood flow and uses muscles we don’t regularly use. Start a swimming program and try to do it 3 times a week. You will feel excellent and rejuvenated.
• Choose an exercise program that you enjoy, and don’t shun the unconventional. For instance, did you know that regular vigorous dancing is exercise too?
• Also Cardiovascular exercises such as running, jogging, or aerobics will help you lose that unwanted belly fat. Weight training can also help you lose body fat because the more muscle mass you have, the more ability your system has to burn body fat.
Good luck!

I’m only 14, but I want abs or just a really flat stomach. I guess I’d be willing to go on somewhat of a diet but nothing crazy. I do 5 different kind of abs exercises everyday 20 each (so, 100 total). And I don’t really see that much of a result. I want to be healthy, and I want a flat stomach/abs. Any advice? Tips? Diets?
Keep doing what your doing. How long have you been exercising for?
Try drinking more water and herbal teas(not black tea) Peppermint, alfalfa, chamomile are good. Eating fruits and veggies and avoid sugar, aspartame, starches and preservatives. As this will make you gain weight and will take longer to get a flat stomach. taking Vitamin C everyday, morning and night. Taking 2 tbsp. of apple cider vinegar 3 times a day before each meal will help your metabolism work better. Make sure its unfiltered though. (Bragg’s brand is best).
Good luck XD

-the top of my stomach is hard and kinda toned but the bottom i have a small pooch
- what r some lower ab excercises and what should i be eating to help like lots of protein….?
Lots of fruits and veggies with lean meats and less fat and don’t forget the water. Planks are in and crunches are out because you have to do different types of crunches and oblique work for ABS but with planks you work the entire core and have no lower back problems.

Besides working out, is there a certain diet that needs to be followed to get better, flatter abs? nope. You really need to excercise, and maybe cut back a little on carbs.

I work out everyday at the gym. But I hate doing cardio I cant do it for more than 30 mins. I would like to know can weights help tone your abs? I would also like to know a work out and diet for getting my chest bulge out right now its flat. (I am a male )
All in all I dont want to loose weight I want to shape up my body. I would like to know a perfect work out for it and a perfect diet.
Please help me.
perfect workout im not sure same with diet it depends on ur matablism. the best way i found to shape up my chest was to do alot of bench presses, military presses, flys, dips, bench presses at a like 30 degree angle etc.. another thing dont go to the gym every day it will make ur muscles get big at first but then they will shrink due to ovr use. go once every 3 days and do a major work out every 3 days or try every 2 days and a average work out.. you dont want to ovr work ur self. do 3-5 sets of each excersize. do both wide grip and close grip to do the inside of ur pex and the outside. good luck

Well, you do need to do some exercise, and may need to change your diet. If you are slim everywhere else, it could be something specific you are eating, which is causing bloating. I cut out supermarket ‘quick bake’ bread, and replaced it with homemade bread, or traditionally baked (i.e allowed to rise twice) – my waist measurement reduced by two inches in a week. However, you do need to make sure your calorie intake is not too high.

i am a female and i am looking into doing the abs diet. the book though states a lot about men and bodybuilders. can i still do this diet, even though i am a female? and of course i dont want a bodybuilders body! help please!
Yes you can. Although the book was written by the Editor in Chief of Mens Health magazine he designed the book to be for men and women. Some of the success stories in the book are from women. It’s not really so much a diet either, as it is a lifestyle guide. The Abs Diet Power foods for instance are great recommendations for any person.
Take almonds for instance. Experts around the world are united in their view of the health benefits that almonds provide to both men and women. In fact, recently in Fitness Magazine (for women), they listed Almonds as one of their top 5 foods for burning belly fat.
The foods the book lists are to help shed fat and keep your metabolism high so that you will see your abs. The exercises are geared so that either men or women can perform them. Take for instance the bicep curl. For men looking to get big arms they would use heavy weight for 6-10 reps. For women looking to tone their arms they can use light weight for 15-25 reps. So yes the book can certainly be enjoyed by women and I certainly recommend you give it a try because it is a good read and a good program.

What is the best natural diet to go on if you want six pack abs? I would appreciate if you told me how many meals to eat, what time to eat the meal, and what should be in the meal. Please dont tell me about any pills or protein shakes or protein powders because i dont like doing that kind of artificial stuff. Thanks in advance.
Break your meals up into 6 small meals a day. As far as diet, it’s common sense stuff, if it seems like you shouldn’t eat something, you probably shouldn’t eat it. Just make sure you have a balanced diet that is relatively low in fat. Run/ jog/walk in the morning before you eat if possible while your body is in a naturally hypoglycemic state, experts say this is when you are most likely to burn up fat stores. Other than that a good regular weightlifting routine is essential. Make sure you are tightening your core muscles when you do all exercises, don’t cheat! If you put on enough muscle your body will burn off more fat naturally. With a combination of diet and exercise you should get those abs eventually, but don’t be discouraged, it takes awhile for some people.

I started the aBs’ diet , not really i just set in my mind to start eating the right stuff. I brought the book and skimmed through it and they told me to eat more often and the right foods to eat. I don’t know if I am doing it right. Do you think if I am eating frosted mini wheats, or oatmeal for breakfast, then a fruits or granola bars for snacks which i eat up to three times a day or two. I eat turkey sandwhiches for lunch with spinach leaves, or a salad with romaine , iceberg, or spinach and I eat 1 1/2 chicken breasts cooked in canola oil or olive oil with seasoning salt and garlic salt. I am lactose intolerant so i drink soy milk. but I eat dannon’s activa’s yogurt. But anyway. AM i doing this right. I am doing all this on my own. Please some feed back
sounds good but I’d cut the fats and drink more water ….hydration is very essential to healthy dieting

i dont nescisarly care how long it takes (preferbaly no more than a year) but im tired of people saying diet pills and programs are the way i just want simple results and lose most of my stomache fat
Yeah I’m not a big fan of the traditional diet pills either. I probably had a bit more extra weight than you, but what has worked really well for me are the Acai pills I saw on http://katherinesweightloss.com/y/ a little while ago. I’ve been taking them for maybe 2 weeks and have really seen my metabolism and energy go up..

an excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on a stool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture, for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make sure that it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or you will damage your back and spine! Slowly move the upper part of your body back, until it’s parallel with the ground. Stop for a second and
move it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times. Every week add to the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week, guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat – if you have any – six pack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than these crunches – I came up to three hundreds and there was no results AT ALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week.

I don’t want to take dietary supplements to get abs because I take too much medication and I consider them dangerous, Any suggestions to add healthy foods to get great abs and replace supplements?
I’m glad you are looking for nutrition in food vs diet supplements-I agree not too good for you and with you taking meds -shows you think with sense. You probably already know its 1.Protein 2.Carbs(the good kind) 3 Fats-derived from no-meat sources A example of a 6 meal eating plan(naturally they are 6 smaller meals compared to 3 large meals-watch the calories). No need to be carrying a calorie counter and measure every time you eat-unless overeater-But do check Contents-esp Sodium,Sugar,Fats and Calories PER SERVING. I start my day with 2 slices of Sprouted Grain Bread named Ezekiel found in the health food section of Kroger,in the freezer. Its a live sprouted grain bread -no flour-has barley, millet and so on and also I get the one that says low glycemic-the grains from the bible found Ezekiel Chaper 4verse9-I love it with no sugar preserves(currently i’m doing blueberries). Can also have a regular bagel with Cream Cheese or Oatmeal cooked in milk(skim)For sugar I use Stevita-from a plant 0 Cal.and no aspertame and so on.get at a health food store, can also cook with it-approx $3. but cheaper at a Farmers Market. Mid-morning can have Yogurt or fruit.cheese Lunch Chicken (baked)& steamed or microwaved vegetables mid afternoon cheese/fruit or yogurt-if really get a taste for chips get the baked and wach the serving amt and calories per serving Dinner-salad with no or low fat dressing-instead of iceberg(v.little nutrition value)eat other lettuce or greens and then whatever else Turkey or Fish(because of the Mercury content in fish I do not eat more than 2xweek) brown rice(more nutritious for white has hardly any) cranberry either whole or jellied-whole berries are better-I get canned—I’m not a dessert person but anything low-sugar and low-fat. Snacks-nuts esp walnut because high in fat(the good kind and proven to lower cholesterol no more than 15 pieces,Soy chips-I like the ones with cheese,Seeds-sunflower,pumpkin etc the trick to eating nutritious is to eat food that has fair amount of Vitamins, minerals and the least amount of man added such as growth hormones,antibiotics,pesticides-why i buy organic. Low sugar, low white flour. Investigate the health food section of your grocery Store and if there is one in your area the Farmers Market-for stuff is fresh and costs less. Some of the foods good for you——Salmon(although high in fat it is the good fat and it is high in protein-can have for any meal-often I will eat small patty for breakfast-but only WILD since the farm raised is way too high in fat for fish do not move very much-kept in ponds(small) and fed and it will say which ion the package, Berries-all are good whichever in season and also the dried-but chk sugar for higher in dried, Prunes are very good for high in Potassium, fiber and low-fat but if they stimulate too much limit to a couple here and there, apples-very healthy fruit and of course all the melons and citrus ruits, All Vegetables are great for loaded with nutrientsMineral,Vitamins -but no canned although I do here and there get corn for most too high in salt chk contnts for sodium Because you are working on defining muscles important you get sufficient protein-egg white although eggs are good for you Ok to have 2-3xweek-the whites is high in protein, Soy is good for protein and has a Protein shake that is safe and good for you-can find Kroger, health food store-nothing in it that is not natural or will harm-check it out, Tuna Fish is good biut again in moderation, Peanut Butter is also source of Proitein and good fat-if you can eat get low-salt,low sugar but hs to gt used to it You may want to go to Borders and get a good Nutrition Book for a handy reference that also has samples of meals

Been doing loads of ab work, 8 minute abs etc and yeh i know you should do cardio but i don’t have time for cardio as well and i smoke so i’m not too interested in it (please dont comment saying quit smoking and do cardio)
So if i just diet really well would that be the same as doing a lot of cardio work?
Smoking leads to fat being stored in the belly area.
