what exercises would work to flatten belly and grow sexy abs for girls?
i am a teen.i weight 124.if you look at my body straight,it looks okay but when you look side ways,it looks fat(not that fat).i would like to weight 115.HELP!!!!!!!!!
You can work on your abs with any ab exercise, try the ball, it works them the most and can be done at home. But you can’t get rid of body fat on the abdomen with strengthening exercises. They will look great once you lose the weight. You need to do heavy cardio as much as possible and eat small meals, like six a day, with lots of protein and fruits and veggies. Eat more nutrient rich foods with less calories. Calcium is a big factor, like low fat yogurt and cottage cheese, calcium helps the muscles so much…and I’m not talking just skeletal muscle (on your bones). Your smooth muscle in the vessels benefit from calcium meaning they can pump your blood faster during cardio, giving you the ability to do heavier work outs. Focus on health and fitness, not weight loss and you’ll see more results. If you just stop eating you lose muscle….try and cut 500 calories a day with increasing your activity. That habit has better long term results. And you shouldn’t weigh less, you will weigh the same but have less body fat.

Go to your local goodwill and see if you can find an old "Abs of Steele" or "six minute abs" video. I got a couple for a dollar each. I don’t know what the exersices are called, so I can’t really tell you about them here, but the videos are a cheap easy way to find out a different variety of ab workouts. You won’t get bored!
Make sure you work out your obliques so that you can get a sexy "V"!
oh and go here http://www.muscleandfitness.com/training/exercises/?section=1
it gives you a lot of examples. It might also be a good idea to invest in a balance ball, because then you can do situps without needing someone to sit on your feet!

as a teenager, 124 is a good weight. if you want a flatter belly, you need to do lots of ab exercises like sit ups and crunches. A good one that I’ve done is called the tv stand cuz normally i do it while i’m watching tv. you basically put yourself in the proper pushup position, but you’re on your elbows instead of your hands. the whole goal is to keep your stomach in. it works well if you turn on your sides as well. Another good exercise is flutter kicks. You lie on your back with your hands under your butt and you hold your head up while you do straight leg kicks in the air without touching the ground. pushups will also work your stomach along with working your legs. A good thing to do is lots of repetitions of these, but in smaller amounts. Like 4 or 5 sets of 25-50 for the situps. Higher reps. but the same amount of sets for crunches and flutter kicks. And for the tv sit, doing a ladder where you start at 15 sec. and go to 30 seconds then a minute all the way up to 2 or 3 minutes in 30 second intervals and then you work your way back down to 15 seconds again works well also. Hope this helps.

A combination of exercise that drives your heart rate to about 70% of max is great for fat burning. Any higher and the body requires a lot of carbs. Most importantly develop good healthy eating habits that are reasonable. Do not diet.

try the jack knife ( where you lay flat on the floor with legs layed straight in front of you and hands layed stretched out behind your head and bend in the middle) and the cross crunch ( where you lay on the floor in the crunch position and lift your legs up to a 90 degree angle and bring your left leg to your right knee while extending your left leg forward and alternating) there both grueling excercises but they have fantastic and great results

first off… stop drinking cokes and eating fast food all the time… that alone and daily routines at school like gym will pull that extra fat off… but if you want to speed it up some, start running… yes crunchs and ab exercises will help, but that will not shed the fat off your abs, just make them stronger. honestly getting your abs toned is extremely, the hard part is to get the fat off… and sorry but you can do all the crunches you want and it wont work off that fat, you need to watch what you eat and do cardio(jump rope, run, ride a bike, go swimming)
