If I ran a mile a day at a speed of 5 miles per hour for two months would that flatten my abs?

I am going on a mainly whole grains fruits and veggies diet, I am doing 200 sit-ups a day and I am running one mile each day at a speed of 4-5 miles per hour. Will this flatten my abs and make me lose 5 pounds this summer? Also If I stretched for 15-30 minutes a day would that make me able to touch my toes in 2 months? Also I am drinking nothing but water and occasionly juice but only one every other day.
I weight 95 pounds and I am 4′10 I want to lose 5 pounds and flatten my abs in 2 months.
This is a new idea i am gonig to start it today if i get mostly yes

The situps will help flatten your abs (you don’t need to do that many every day), but not the jogging. Jogging is cardio – good for your heart – though I don’t think you need to go that fast. Stretching should always be done before you go running and also after to help you cool down and not get muscle spasms or cramps. Why do you think you need to lose 5 pounds? 95 pounds is a GREAT weight for someone your height – I’m 4′ 10" also and anywhere between 95 and 105 is the ideal weight for that height. Whole grains, fruits and veggies are very good for you, just don’t forget the protien.

I would think so, have you ever seen the book "the abs diet"?
I have just started that. They have it for men or women and it outlines the diet which is protein, whole grains, fruits, veggies, dairy and ect. very healthy eating. Tells you what kinds of foods are good and bad and it gives a whole bunch of exercises and workout plans to do just that flatten your abs and also tone your body. I have a lot more work to do than you but supposedly in 6 weeks with this plan you should see a big difference in the way you look. You might check it out! Good luck!

sounds like your weight is fine now…

however, you have the right idea, exercise and healthy eating do help a person lose weight but here are some tips:

as a female, you won’t really get a "flat abdomen" if you are healthy since some "fat" remains to help with breeding (it’s evolutionary)…

second, crunches are better than sit-ups since sit-ups will hurt your lower back so consider doing those in 6 sets of 8 for one time in the morning and one time before bed instead of 200 sit-ups at one time since it’ll help your muscles develop better if they are not overworked

third: keep in mind that as you are working out, you are building muscle mass which weighs more than fat so you might not see the scale go down but you could see an inch or two lost from your waist and thats the more important place I assume…

fourth: you should always stretch before any form of athletic activity so I hope you would be stretching at least 15 minutes a day (5 before running, 5 after running, 2 before and 2 after crunches)… although if you can’t touch your toes, that could be back muscle problems that might not be fixable so don’t strain yourself too hard…if it begins to hurt, stop

fifth: 100% juice (like dole) is great to drink at least once a day, water is important to drink throughout the day (just carry a water bottle around with you everywhere), and also drink milk to help keep healthy bones. Also make sure to keep lean meats and proteins in your diet as they have important vitamins and minerals in them

    good luck with becoming healthier
