Weight Loss?

I’m 5′2 and weigh about 106. I’ve gained about 2-3 lbs in the past year, and while I am NOT saying that my weight is overweight by any means, I’m still having a very difficult time getting it back to what it was. I work out 3-4 times a week, doing a combination of cardio (30-40 minutes combined of one or more of the following: treadmill, eliptical and/or bike) as well as 10-20 minutes of muscle training (arms and abs). I eat very healthy and have even decreased my caloric intake to lose the 2 lbs I put on, but can’t seem to do it. Any advice or diet/fitness tips?

I am 5′2 also and I think your weight is fine, I know what you mean though. In October I was around 106 pounds and now I am 113, I think I gained weight from muscle because I am a long distance runner. You should continue to exercise and if nothing happens it might just be muscle weight which is good and means you are stronger. If your clothes do not Even fit differently then do not worry.

I do not know if this is what you are looking for. What I find is that what you think you may be eating is good may be the wrong thing to eat. Also when you exercise it may be at the wrong time to exercise. I believe that it is not a factual information about your calorie intake. I was weight training in my younger days, and found that alot of information people tell you is not so much as true as they are wrong as well.
I found that your calorie intake is something you need to give your body that energy level to do your exercising, working, playing, etc. Your calorie intake is not how much you take in, it is what type of calories you take in. It is just the same as your diet intake, in that it is what you eat. If you eat alot of fatty foods that your body cannot distribute properly or breakdown then it is the wrong type of food, (McDonalds for e.g.) Burgers are not that bad for you if, if you eat them when they are charbroiled over a grill. Remember when people eat their meat rare or raw or half cooked they are eating alot of grissle or fat, (not good). Meat does have alot of protein but it could be the wrong type of protein, I would not go as far as stopping from eating, it how much you intake. That goes for any foods, everything must be balanced properly. French fries, or any deep fried foods are really not that good for you. They hold the grease content they are cooked in, inside them. Most chinese foods are very greasy as well, but again its how much you intake. Exercise also, is the same, you can over do it, and under do it. It is also what type of exercise you are doing. You may think it is the right kind but not so.
I’ve heard that dancing is one of the most cheapest and one of the best exercises for the human body anyone can undertake.
Find a good dance that is not real vigorous or strenuous, but one that your whole body will feel, I dont mean foot stomping hard either. Lots of fruits and vegetables, and water. Try to stay away from soda pop, that is very bad for you, as is lots of beer. These items contain lots of sugar, which sugar is the worst drug you can ever imagine. It is so addicting that it is hard to kick the habit.
