    What are some good self-help books to read for people with low self-esteem?
    I was a victim of emotional child abuse and my low self-esteem is debilitating at times. Any tips for good self-help books in this area? and self-help books in general that you believe everyone should read?

    Yep, Get out of your own way by Philip Goldberg is a bit old but good. If your a women try The Courage to Be Yourself:by Sue Patton Thoele.

    But the best therapy is to talk with friends and get into some sports and hobbies so you can "watch yourself" get better. This will help you realize your better than you think you are.
