fitness to better mental and physical self due to illness?

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if I could get some help from some of the Yahoo community.

Im 23/m (usually 160lbs) – but due to recent diagonsis of depression and psychosis, my weight has dipped and sticks around 140lbs.

Im starting to excercise (and i feel great about it) but im having trouble gaining weight back because of the excercises.

I usually goto the gym and do a bit of rowing, cycling, abs, weight training and leg press.

any tips or suggestions would help? thank you

Try eating more. You didn’t mention how tall you are, but MOST guys who exercise should eat between 2000-2500 calories a day. That is A LOT of food :-O

Also try adding more protein to your diet. Steak and Eggs for breakfast, protein shakes, fish etc.

Sometimes people just don’t GAIN weight easily (oh how i wish for that gene haha) you could try talking to your doctor about it.

Good luck!
