I want to know other types of excercise that can get rid of the little belly fat beside crunches and sit ups. I started to do jump roping but i don’t know if it is helpful to reduce the stomach fat. Any help?
Sit ups and crunches don’t burn body fat. If you have a layer of fat over your abs and you work those muscles (the burn your feeling is your ab muscles fatiguing, not fat burning) your abs will build up and will actually push your fat out farther making you appear fatter! Stick with some resistance training like weight training, squeeze in some cardio ( jumping rope is an awesome fat burner), and clean the diet up. The trick is to get the metabolism up.With these simple things you can sport an amazing body. Good luck!

Do the exercises in the October issue of Australian Men’s Health work for you?
My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don’t over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.
On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don’t look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.
Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

I have been doing crunches, leg lifts, stretches, and other stuff, but i wanted to know some other exercises that work. I only have a treadmill so they have to be exercises that can be done at home with no equipment.
Lunges (all types like front, side, back), squats, plie squats, for legs. For abs, all types of crunches (normal, oblique, reverse, double), planks, footprints on the ceiling, bicycles, jack knives, side plank, V sit.

I need some great, effective exercises that will work my lower abs and obliques, and also my back. I currently do a lot of cardio, about 40 minutes 3 to 4 times a week (sometimes 5). What will be good for the abs and back, or should I just continue to do the cardio?
i lost 15lbs in 5 days
1)jogging every morning (haw far? depends on your stamina)
2)tae bo 5 times a week (1hr)
3)hot yoga twice a week (1hr 30mins – to strech and relax your muscles from tae bo and jogging)
eat healthy and drink at least 80 ounces of water a day.
eating jalapenos and taking 3 table spoons of apple cider vinegar will boost your metabolism!
-i feel toned and really healthy =)
trust me, this WILL work!

I’m getting ready to start my diet again because I need to lose 10-15 pounds. Last time it only took 2 weeks, so I’m wondering when I should start working on my abs. I’m 5′5-5′6 and 145 lbs.
I’m pretty good at sticking to my diet, but it is hard to get motivated to work on my abs. Do you know what exercises are best for that area?
Nice to hear that your seriously taking in weight reducing. Like me before, we shared the same problems. I had this difficulty of getting rid of my beer belly but its gone no more. All i had to do is to combine diet and exercise. U can do ur abs exercises both at the same time while you reduce your weight. No need to wait when u get slimmer. The best and most tested abs exercise is running at a right speed and combined it with abs crunches. Try to run in an oval or terrain everyday, you will be surprised that you get more sexier, tone abs and a more healthy.
Did i say, to lessen your food intake? You have to limit it. It is difficult to have a real diet because it cause some discomfort like a little head ache but you can eventually overcome it. Eat more healthy food like fruit and vegetables and avoid junk foods and fatty oil forever in your diet and you could see a new beautiful you. I look forward to see you healthy, fit and gorgeous.

I’m not overweight, but I’m not in the shape I should be in. I was watching Stick it, that gymnastics movie, and I wanted to know if it’s a good way to get in shape, or just using a trampoline, will that help me get in better shape? I don’t want to do all the swinging from bars and flipping on beams, but I do want something that will get my body in better shape.
So would a trampoline be good excersice? Please, workout suggestions for begginers (I know it sucks, but I’m not to up for a hardcore work out yet). Workout routines would be appreciated! Thanks!
– I’m looking for something that’ll give me nice looking abs. Something that’ll give me a nice toned looking body, but nothing buff (I’m a female).
Trampoline really doesn’t burn much energy. Try running 2-3 miles. That’ll help.

I’ve heard that you can workout your abs everyday and that you don’t need to let them rest, is that true or do you need to work them out every other day?
I do work them everyday for P.E. but it depends on the intensity of your workout. It is best to take a break and do it every other day because your abs are like every other muscle group and they need to rest to rebuild. You use your core for a lot of other exercises too, so it gets a pretty good workout anyways.

I’m not fat at all, but whenever I gain weight, it is in my midsection. School starts on August 21, and I want to look my best. Any tips on flattening my stomach? Any healthy living tips would really be appreciated!!
–Please try to be specific! Like how much I should excercise a day and what kind of cardio.
Thanks!
situups/crunches DON’T flatten your belly, they build your abs, but those are only underneath, it DOES NOT remove the fat on top. if you want a flat belly, you’re gonna have to run to get rid of the fat so you can SEE your abs hiding underneath, wihch you will get from doing crunches. get it?

Hi,
I have just received the ABS DIET book for Women (written by a man) in the mail today and it seems like a nice approach to weight loss. I would like any feedback from anyone who has tried it or is currently on it. Thank you
Be your own trainer and nutritionist, the basic rules to losing weight are no soda, no fast food, lots of chicken, fish, fresh (not canned that’s bad) fruits and vegies, whole wheat stuff, yogurt. Not so many cakes and donuts and cookies. Basic common sense for eating, you just need to enforce it. Get all the bad stuff out of the house right away, just toss it or give it away while your still motivated. No alcohol if that applies. Some juice but make sure its all natural, because the ones that aren’t are loaded with sugar and a leading cause in diabetes in children and adults. Lots of water, 3-4 liters a day, not all at once, but spread out. Its really easy to down a liter or two while your watching tv or on the computer. Also drink some after you eat the bigger meals of the day, it helps your body pick out the nutrients in food when your food is more spread apart. These rules may be hard to adapt to at first so start with cutting out the things you know you can live without. Then work to there. Remember these are perfect eating habits, it can take you a while to work into it. If you know you can’t live without your one treat a day, don’t fight it by trying to eat something else, just eat it and make sure that’s the only one you cheat on a day. Otherwise you’ll get depressed and quit. Another important point is getting the right amount of sleep every night. You need 8-9 hours of sleep each night for your body to function correctly. This is an important factor of losing weight. Set up a routine for yourself and go to bed at about the same time each night.
As for exercise, lots of cardio. Find something you like. If you have never exercised much before, start with walking 30 minutes a day at a brisk pace. Move on to different terrains that include hills and increase the time spent. After a week or two, try jogging the route. No matter what find an activity you enjoy. Walking to jogging is just an example, try hiking, rollerblading, biking. Once you get into a regular routine, if your not happy with the level of difficulty, try signing up with a gym. Spinning, pilates or kickboxing classes are great. It will also introduce you to working with weights. Talk to a trainer for instruction before using any weights. A cheap investment is a balance ball, it works you stomach while your just sitting on it, like at your computer and its great for posture. There are hundreds of exercises you can use it for for your entire body. I can give you some ideas if you want, just email me. Also for more info on the benefits of water go to www.watercure.com Good Luck! Please don’t hesitate to IM me at this name if you have anymore questions, i’d be glad to help

I have a lot of fat around my stomach but not around my legs or arms or face… Why did that happen and how can I get rid of it?
I’m working on the same thing. But it is oh so difficult to do those sit-ups and that is a good way to get rid of it. About 30 mins. each day. Ever thought of getting an AB Lounger, cause that’s what I’m gonna do. I think it will be easier.
