how can i flatten my belly and grow abs?

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

well,im a teen,i have PE everyday in school, i do 30 crunches and i eat balance food.ive been doing this for like 2 weeks now but i still have this belly.what should i do?

you should exercise. and although a balanced meal is good you still may consider a diet. also crunches are very good but 30 isnt that much. i would say every night do 100 crunches. and after each week make them harder and harder. maybe the first week just do regular crunches then the next week do crunches with one leg off the ground and then switch. then do crunches with both legs up and so on and so forth. if you do those every night, exercise, and maybe start a different diet you will be healthy and have flat abs in no time.

Can you help me set up a diet/workout to get a toned body for soccer, especially my abs?

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

I’d really like to get a toned body, especially really toned abs. I’m 6′0, 150 pounds, and I play soccer. I don’t wanna bulk up, I just want to get really toned. I know diet plays a big part for abs, but I need help setting one up. I don’t eat cheese however. A workout routine would also be awesome. Thanks!

Couple answers for you. (real ones..not bots. :) )

Ok, for abs, you need to think "core" exercises. It’s more then one abdominal muscle, but the entire core. Google core exercise, pick about a dozen movements that work a variety of muscles. (abs, obliques, butt, thighs, lower back (lumbar), etc. Out of these 12, choose 6 to do per workout. The next work out, swap out 2 of them for 2 different ones. This keeps your muscles toning, and the workout spicy. Try for 20-25 reps per movement. Do this ever other day (not every day!). (6 x 25 = 150 core movements every other day).

For your abs to show, you need to reduce your calories without reducing nutrition. A -250 reduction is a good start. Combine this with cardio workouts that get your resting heart-rate 3x above your normal resting heart-rate. This is what burns fat. Unless you are in the zone, you wont burn fat, your only be toning. Running, jumping, jogging, etc. All good.

For soccer — I strongly recommend you learn about "Plyometrics". These workouts would help you out in the sport the absolute most.

What is the best exercise, diet and supplements to take to reduce stomach fat?

What is the best exercise, diet and supplements to take to reduce stomach fat?

jogging is an excellent exercise because it let you lose weight
evenly throughout your whole body. If you want to lose weight in
specific areas, you should target them with exercises. If they are
your problem areas, they will be very difficult to tone. You will have
to work double on them. The best approach is this:
1. Lower/control your daily calorie intake (control for normal
weight, lower for overweight).
2. Run/jog to lower your overall body fat percentage.
3. Target your problem areas with exercises.
an excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on a
stool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture,
for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make sure
that it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or you
will damage your back and spine! Slowly move the upper part of your
body back, until it’s parallel with the ground. Stop for a second and
move it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times. Every week add
to the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week,
guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat – if you have any – six
pack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than these
crunches – I came up to three hundreds and there was no results AT
ALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week.

What are some good abs exercises to get fit abs?

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

I have good abs already. But i want to improve myself more…before the new year begins. I need tips or fun exercises on youtube or something.

=]

The best exercises I know of that will build abs, but also burn fat quickly are:
1a. Renegade Dumbbell Rows
1b. Front Squats with Barbell
1c. Mountain Climbers on Floor

You can see illustrations of how they are done at http://tinyurl.com/NonAb-AbExercises . It is best to add resistance if you can with the dumbbells on a couple of them, but if you can’t they are still excellent exercises.

I hope that works for you!

Does Shaun T ever stop talking in his Hip Hop Abs Fitness DVD?

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

I´m shopping for a fitness DVD and I´ve been checking a few out on YouTube. I think I like the Hip Hop Abs dance workout the most, since I prefer listening to hip hop rather then techno. But it seems the instructor keeps talking ALL the time! Anyone know if he ever shuts up so that I can blast the volume and just work out? Or maybe you have a tip for a different DVD? HELP! I wanna get started!

Most exercise dvds have the option to have music only. I have tried a lot of the beachbody stuff and for the most part you can either "pump up" the music or shut the instructor up after you learn the moves.

How would a 12 year old girl tone her calves, thighs, butt, and flatten her abs?

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

The girl needs to tone her calves, thighs, butt, and flatten her abs in 1 month and 3 weeks.

The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:

*1) Burn more calories then you’re consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity. Get a diet and fitness calculator that you can put on your computer or cell phone. This will allow you to easily calculate this formula, set goals, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.

*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.

Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as potatoes) and drink lots of water. Read this article for more information on high GL Carbs:
http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/carbohydrates.html

Do not try fad diets or diet pills. Here is an excellent food pyramid that anyone can follow: http://www.rayandterry.com/html/images/PyramidLRG.gif?osCsid=26a424be471d1337e7c2f105d5c64d9d

*3) Exercise on most days by doing cardiovascular training and/or resistance training activities.

Read a book or find a certified trainer to make sure your doing all resistance training exercises correctly. A great book to buy that teaches you the resistance training basics is “Weight Training for Dummies”. A superb magazine to buy with resistance training routines that will not get you bored is "Muscle and Fitness". Signup for the free newsletter. An excellent free online resource is at http://www.exrx.net/

A good book to buy that teaches you the cardiovascular training basics is “Fitness for Dummies”.

*4) Get plenty of sleep. Sleep experts say most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night for optimum performance, health, and safety.

*5) Educate yourself continually on health issues and make a life long commitment to good health. A great free publication is “Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005”. A superb book to read is “You The Owner’s Manual”. An excellent periodic publication is the “Nutrition Action Health Letter”. A reputable test you can take to measure your biological age is at http://realage.com

Look at all areas where you can enhance your health. For example, make improvements in the quality of the air you breathe. Review outdoor air quality forecasts where you live and get an indoor air purifier. Email me if you want a good indoor air purifier recommendation and if you have other questions.

How can I stay on the Abs Diet but still gain muscle mass?

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

I need to get rid of my summer beer gut, but I also want to gain muscle mass. I am following the Abs diet, but don’t want that diet to make it more difficult for me to make gains in mass (in areas besides my stomach).

The Abs Diet will not make it difficult for you to gain muscle mass, as long as you are correctly following the program . David Zinczenko actually emphasizes muscle building workouts and all of the abs diet powerfoods are great for gaining muscle, particularly the whey protein powder and peanut butter.

I really don’t understand why you are even worried about this. You may not have read the actual book, and may have just read a few things about it on the internet. If so, check a copy out of your local library.

Flatten abs?

Monday, September 21st, 2009

Any easy ways to flatten a tummy in about a month or so?
I know some different great crunch exercises, if I do about 50 of those every night will that help?

It’s better to have a routine of different ab workouts than just doing one excercise in bulk. Put together your own routine using workouts that pinpoint certain areas of the abdominals. Cardio is a must for visible abs and a flatter tummy. Be sure to run. Eat healthy. Any good source of protein like fish would be helpful. Hope that helped.

Abs Workout?

Monday, September 21st, 2009

I used to be fat but now that ive lost a lot of weight i dont want to be skinny. i want to have abs. i want my abs to be really visible and a strong chest and core. Can you give me some workouts to make my abs stick out more. i dont want to look like a professional weightlifter. i just want a soccer player body.
ive been doing crounches almost everyday for a year and i still lose weight and dont build muscle. is their types of food which will get me leaner?

If you are able to join a health club, the trainers there should be able to help you concentrate on the core. Also, I get a lot of input from Men’s Health magazine and I’m a WOMAN!!!! They have some really good exercises to work on every part of the body. Also have great recipes.

abs diet causing me to be tired and hungry?

Monday, September 21st, 2009

I;ve been doing the abs diet, cutting back on carbs and eating protien. I’m always hungry and tired, I swim for an hour 5x a week and lift weights 5x a week. whats wrong?

Hey t m, the answer to your problem is immediately obvious if you know anything about diet and exercise. The body gets its first level of energy from sugars. Sugars are a carbohydrate. Endurance athletes do ‘carbohydrate loading’ by eating spaghetti and chocolates so they have enough energy for their muscles to work.
Protein is a tissue building substance which we get more than enough of in our usual American/Western diet. The down side of protein intake is that it causes ketones which are very toxic to the body and are a large chain molecule and require a lot of water to help get them clear of the kidneys. This water is taken out of body tissues and the body is heading for dehydration if there is too much protein in the diet.
Your lack of energy is simply because you are not taking in enough carbohydrates – you are simply running out of fuel. You are making yourself even more sluggish by taking necessary tissue fluid to flush the protein (ketones) out of your kidneys. When a body builder is entering a competition he will start to step up his protein intake to take advantage of the lost body water effect to give him that ripped look but as soon as the competition is over he’ll greatly reduce his protein intake to minimise kidney damage.
Advice? Step up the carbs intake for energy. Take both simple (sugars) and a lot of complex (veggies) and really back way off the protein shakes/pills/etc. You’ll notice a significant change in a day or two once your body sorts itself out again.

What are the best foods to eat to get a flat stomach?

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

What are some good foods to help get a flat stomach. Of course with exercise.

Foods to help keep my stomach flat.

If you’re looking to lose weight in general, more fruits and veggies than anything. Breads should be whole grains and high in fiber. Avoid foods with added sugar. And definitely keep hydrated. Cardio work outs are the best way to go as far as burning fat, but don’t forget some strength training to keep your muscles strong. Muscle helps keep the metabolism up and burn more calories, so feed your muscles as well with lean protein like white meat chicken and turkey or fish.

If you just wanna get rid of some bloat, avoid starchy carbs for a few days, and providing you are not lactose intolerant, eat/drinky plenty of dairy like fat free milk, yogurt, and eggs. (i like to hardboil some eggs and only eat the eggwhite, the yolk has too much fat in it for me, but it does have a lot of health benfits)

What exercises are the best way to lose stomach weight quickly and with great results?

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

I really want to lose my stomach weight quickly and some great results. Does anyone have some good exercises that will give me fast, good results?

Running, will get you there faster than any other form of exercise, also you will need to "eat clean" which means no processed foods, white rice, soda, white bread, etc. Remember that exercise is only 20% results and 80% of clean eating.
